I can't believe Christmas has come and gone!!

Is it weird to anyone else that Christmas is gone?? We are heading to 2009?? It seems very strange to me!! So I hope you all had a very merry Christmas! We had a great Christmas!! Because of Andy's surgery he ended up having an extra 4 days off, which was nice! But because of the Crazy weather and bad roads on Christmas day we didn't get down to Andy's Grandma's house, we tried for an hour to get there but only ended up in Shelley, with just enough time to turn around and get back to make it for dinner at my Grandma's house, another 45 minutes!! It was actually really fun! Kyler got a great nap in & we had fun talking and trying to maneuver our way though crazy drifts! But just so you all know, Andy is doing much better!! He is still just a little bit sore, he went back to work yesterday & all seems to be fine!! Thanks for all the love and concern!! We love and appreciate all of you!!

Our fun Christmas adventure!!

Saturday night Andy came home from work complaining of a side ache, he said that he thought it was his appendix. He didn't act like he was in enough pain to be his appendix, but I just went with it, thinking it was probably nothing. We got to the E.R. at about 8:30 am on Sunday they ran some tests, they acted like it couldn't be his appendix too. But after all the test results came back he was right. They sent for a surgeon to come visit with us, when he started talking to Andy and examining him he didn't believe him either, so he went to check the chart before he would agree to anything. When he came back he told Andy that sure enough his appendix needed taken out but he couldn't get over the fact that Andy just didn't look sick enough. lol!! They scheduled the surgery and they took him back. It was probably the most hour of my life. I think i looked at the clock every minute for an hour. When the doctor came into the waiting room and said that everything was fine, I was so relieved.... I know that is was only an appy with MINIMAL risk, but it didn't matter!! They made me wait another half hour before I could see him. He did great. I don't think he knew what he was getting into when he said that he wanted to go to the E.R. They wanted him to stay over night to make sure all was well. It was a LONG night, but I was glad that I could be there with him. I wouldn't have been able to if my parents hadn't taken Ky. I didn't need to be worried sick over both my babies!! We got to come home around eleven O'clock this morning, and it was GREAT to be home. Thanks to all those who came to see us, for all the calls of concern and everyone offering to help out. Tonight Andy is doing well. Feeling much better and the pain has subsided a little, he is mostly just sore.

What we've been up to.

Here are some really cute pictures I found of what Ky has been up to the past few weeks.
This is the first time Kyler was put in Time out and he stayed... he wasn't happy about it but he stood there until his daddy said he could come out.
He has a new facination with pots... I'm not sure what that is all about!

This has to be his favorite past-time. The first thing he does when we get to grandma & grandpa's is find his grandpa and go straight for the horse!! They play on it for hours!!

Thanksgiving

Yes I know I am slow!! This thanksgiving was very busy for us. Luckily for us though andy's boss gave him Black Friday and Saturday off so we could enjoy Thanksgiving, which we did. On Wednesday I made 4 pies, the next day two more, plus packing for the weekend preparing a salad and stuffing for another Thanksgiving dinner all before 11:30!!! CRAZY I know, but Andy has a very large family, so we needed them!! My pies turned out amazing thanks to my very talented sister. And I was so tired and sick of pies not only did I not want to take a picture of them, but I didn't even want to eat any. lol!! We went to dinner at Andy's brothers house and the food was Delishious. That night we went to Island park to have another Thanksgiving with my family the next day. My brother's family came from Phonenix for Thanksgiving, which was so fun! We stayed in Island park until Saturday. Sadly though on Thursday night kyler got very sick and threw up all night... 8 times!!! It was so hard because our cabin is getting smaller every year and we were all sharing space, so having a sick child is miserable. I wanted to come home so bad but they wanted us to stay. Friday he acted so much better, but that night was the same story again. When we got home I was so excited to be there!!!

We didn't even get unpacked before we were off getting our Christmas tree. We decided to try to cut down our own tree this year. I had never done that before and thought it would be a fun tradition. Well it worked out ok. We have a HUGE beautiful, but kindof gangely tree. We don't quite have enough ornaments to put on all of it so they are scarce. But we like it. Kyler didn't get to come, since he had been sick. But maybe next year. Here are some pictures to show you of our week. Here is our beautiful tree standing probably 10 ft tall.
Kyler helping Grandpa vacuum at the cabin
We tried to get a picture of all the grandkids while they were all together, we only had one that turned out ok and it wasn't on my camera... so this is the one you get.
Emry, Brynly, Anna & Kyler
And last but not least... kissing cousins... Kyler giving anna a goodbye kiss!! We told him to give anna a kiss bye-bye so he got down on his knees and bent clear under her to give her a big smooch!! The first one was a lot better. This picture was after the fact and we got him to do it again, sorta. It was cute!
